About My Clients
Navigating anxiety, relationship stress, identity exploration, and life transitions? Feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or tired of carrying things alone? I work with clients seeking culturally responsive, affirming therapy that centers emotional safety, clarity, and sustainable growth through a collaborative, strengths-based approach.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. I hold a degree in psychology from Howard University and an MSW from Simmons University, with over 3,500 hours of supervised clinical work and advanced licensure training. Much of my career has been rooted in community mental health, working with people navigating housing instability, systemic stress, and complex family dynamics. This background allows me to offer therapy that is both compassionate and grounded in real-life understanding. Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, thoughtful approach and the way sessions feel both supportive and practical. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported in making meaningful, sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a Black woman therapist and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community with over a decade of experience in community mental health. I’ve worked closely with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, mental health challenges, housing instability, and systemic inequities. This work has given me a deep understanding of the unique pressures faced by marginalized communities. I bring culturally responsive, client-centered care that honors your identity and lived experience. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, understood, and supported in building clarity, resilience, and meaningful change.
