About My Clients
I have extensive experience working with first responders, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, 911 dispatchers, correctional officers, probation officers, and the family members who support them. I have also spent years counseling individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. For clients who would like to incorporate their faith into the counseling process, I also offer Christian counseling upon request.
My Background and Approach
I bring 15 years of experience working in mental health including 9+ years in direct clinical counseling. During that time, I've helped thousands of people from diverse backgrounds including many first responders. I provide telehealth video therapy to adults and older adolescents living in Arizona, Minnesota and Wisconsin. I am passionate about helping people heal trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic stress and relationship issues. If we are working to heal past trauma, we can do much of that within our sessions. For everything else, I believe having a counselor can be similar to a personal trainer at the gym. I will show you the insights that can help reach your goals. If you put in the reps in between sessions, you can begin to see the changes you've been hoping for.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent worth and immeasurable value. One of the greatest privileges of being a therapist is hearing people's stories. Your experiences matter, and your story deserves to be heard with compassion, respect, and without judgment. Life isn't meant to be navigated alone. During difficult seasons, having the right support can make all the difference. As a counselor, I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients as they heal, grow, and move toward the life they want to live. I am a Christian, and for clients who would like to incorporate their faith into the counseling process, I am happy to provide Christian counseling. If you come from a different spiritual background—or prefer a secular approach—we can engage in various therapy modalities without incorporating faith.
