About My Clients
Do you ever find yourself feeling anxious in social situations, overthinking interactions, or not quite fitting in? You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or burned out. You are almost always there for others but do not feel like anyone understands you. Maybe you were the “gifted” kid in school, the overachiever. Perhaps you sense that there are parts of yourself that you have not yet fully explored. You are not alone and, to paraphrase Roy Kent, you do not need to settle for fine.
My Background and Approach
If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, identity, I am here to support you. I am passionate about collaborating with individuals who seek to understand themselves better and want to create a life that brings them joy. My approach to counseling is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in the understanding that every individual is impacted by societal factors and the context in which they exist. Above all, I am guided by the belief that you are the expert on your experiences. As a therapist, I aim to meet you where you are at, provide a nonjudgmental space, and support you on your unique path. Together, we will untangle the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns keeping you stuck so that you can not just exist or survive but thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who is queer and autistic, I know finding a therapist who will “get you” can feel daunting. As a therapist, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgemental, and safe space in which you feel comfortable being yourself and empowered to explore who you want to be. If any of this resonates with you, I would love to chat.
