About My Clients

Do you feel like trauma keeps pulling you back, or like addiction has taken the wheel? Maybe you're tired of just talking about change—you want to actually feel it and practice it. I get it. Healing isn't linear, and it shouldn't happen on anyone's timeline but yours. Using evidence-based tools like DBT and EMDR—and the grounded presence of horses—I'll help you build skills, break patterns, and reconnect with the life you want. You don't have to do this alone. Let's blaze a new trail together.

My Background and Approach

tools I use—DBT skills, EMDR, and work with horses—aren't just theory. They're practices I've refined to help people actually feel different, not just think differently. My goal is for you to walk away with skills you can use anywhere: grounding techniques when trauma surfaces, distress tolerance when cravings hit, ways to calm your nervous system when everything feels like too much. I'm direct and collaborative. We'll start with what's happening right now—the patterns that keep pulling you back, the moments when you feel stuck—and build from there at a pace your body can handle. I'm trauma-informed, which means healing isn't about pushing through. It's about creating safety first, then practicing skills in real time. I earned my MSW from the University of Denver and have focused my practice on trauma and addiction treatment using evidence-based approaches. I've seen how powerful it is when insight meets action—and when healing happens alongside horses who reflect what words sometimes

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

believe that healing is possible—that anyone can change their and that there's no limit to human capacity for growth. I also believe that every behavior serves a purpose, even the ones that hurt us. Often, the patterns we're stuck in were survival strategies that worked once but don't anymore. Which means we can unlearn them and build healthier skills. DBT saved my life. I know firsthand what it's like to feel trapped by trauma and to wonder if things will ever get better. Through my own therapy and recovery, I learned that healing doesn't just happen in an office—it happens in the world around us, in connection with others, and in the presence of animals who meet us exactly as we are. That's why I bring horses into this work. They reflect what words sometimes can't and offer grounded, nonjudgmental presence that opens doors we didn't know were there. I believe everyone deserves compassionate, trauma-informed care. If you want to learn more, reach out.
