About My Clients
I work with women who are often known as the “strong one” — the caretaker, the reliable friend, the person who always shows up for others while quietly carrying her own weight. Many of my clients are high-functioning, resilient, and deeply compassionate, but they are also tired of holding it all together. They come to me when they’re ready to stop performing strength and start experiencing what it feels like to truly rest.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is gentle, collaborative, and deeply human. I believe healing happens in the context of safety, trust, and compassion — not pressure, performance, or perfection. I use a trauma-informed and faith-integrated lens, recognizing the ways life experiences shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world. Together, we’ll explore your story at a pace that feels safe, honoring both your resilience and the tender places that need care. In our work, I blend evidence-based practices with space for reflection, creativity, and rest. I will hold space for your truth while gently guiding you toward new ways of thinking, feeling, and being that align with who you truly are — not just who life has required you to be. Here, therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you lay down the heavy load, reconnect with your authentic self, and discover the freedom of simply being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At The Strong Friend’s Resting Place, I believe that even the strongest among us need a place to lay it all down. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can exhale — where the pressure to be “okay” all the time no longer applies. You may be used to carrying the weight for everyone else, always showing up, always performing. Here, you don’t have to hold it together. You don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to wear the cape. I offer restorative, trauma-informed care designed to help you release the weight of perfection, reconnect with your emotional needs, and begin healing without performance or pretense. In this space, you are free to be authentic, soft, and human.
