About My Clients
You may be here because something feels off with your teenager, and you're trying to figure out what to do next. That alone says a lot about the type of parent you are. I work with children, teenagers, adults, and families to navigate the challenges alongside them. One thing I want you to know: when your teen works with me, your family is part of the process too. The home environment matters. Your stress matters. I'm here to support all of it, not just the time your child spends in my care.
My Background and Approach
My clinical approach is DBT-informed, drawing on Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. My background spans both school-based and residential treatment settings, giving me a well-rounded and grounded perspective on adolescent development. I also provide supportive gender-affirming assessments and letters for individuals seeking hormone therapy or gender-affirming surgery. These assessments follow WPATH Standards of Care and are conducted in a collaborative, affirming environment. Most letters can be completed within one or two sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. Through my own therapy, I learned how to handle my anxiety and move past it so that it didn't have control over me. I highly value kindness, truth, and honesty. I have been told I am extremely patient, respectful, and can hold space in a powerful way.
