About My Clients

My clients are working hard - working great jobs, raising families, etc. - despite obstacles that sometimes only they can see. My clients have often been through traumas, big and small, cultivated relationships even without clear roadmaps, had children even when they didn't quite get what they needed growing up, and lead busy lives while secretly being in chronic pain. I create space and provide support for all these experiences to coexist so my clients can be seen, heard, and empowered.

My Background and Approach

My experience and training in somatic approaches, mindfulness, systems theory, and psychological/developmental education equip me to not only show up for clients in a thoughtful way, but to TEACH clients about what may be happening for them and how they can find some relief through applicable tools. While grounded in multiple theories, I am flexible in my approach in order to meet the needs of unique individuals. In addition to providing ongoing therapy, I also provide more short-term consultation for parents who are wanting to understand what is happening for their child(ren) and how they may modify their responses based on this knowledge.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people are stronger than they even know, but also that there's pain in pretending to be strong when feeling tender. I believe there's room for all of it. I believe that everyone deserves empathic connection and to be witnessed for who they are, even though that can be scary at times. I deeply believe that social and political justice is my business and when I'm not in the office, I'm busy fighting for causes I believe in strongly.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
