About My Clients
My clients are musicians, performers, creatives, students, and high-achieving individuals who feel intense pressure to succeed. Many struggle with performance anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, burnout, or fear of failure despite strong ability and preparation. Some worry anxiety may derail goals they deeply care about. I work with individuals who want practical tools to manage stress, regain confidence, and perform, create, and achieve with greater freedom and resilience.
My Background and Approach
With a background as a university music professor and professional performing artist, I provide performance anxiety therapy for musicians, graduate students, and high achievers across Georgia via telehealth. I specialize in music performance anxiety (MPA), perfectionism, intrusive doubt, and the psychological demands of auditions, juries, competitions, and high-stakes academic evaluation. As a therapist in Georgia, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients build confidence under pressure rather than eliminate fear entirely. Together, we strengthen psychological flexibility, restore self-trust, and develop sustainable high-performance skills that support long-term excellence and creative resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people thrive when their lives and work are guided by deeply held values rather than fear, comparison, or external pressure. Much of my work centers on helping clients reconnect with what originally drew them to music, art, scholarship, or performance so that achievement becomes meaningful rather than exhausting. I deeply value the role of the arts in human flourishing and believe creative expression is essential to individual and cultural well-being. I also respect the rigor and opportunity found within elite academic environments and understand both the privilege and pressure that can accompany high-level education. My goal is to help clients pursue excellence while maintaining curiosity, balance, and a sustainable sense of self.
