About My Clients

The world is real rough sometimes isn't it? Let's find a gentle place for you to land. Maybe you're struggling with a relationship that's not working out or you find yourself feeling anxious or irritable without knowing why. Let me help you find more flow in your life, to move through past difficulties and reconnect with your body and your creative self. I strive towards anti-oppressive work and am queer and neurodivergent affirming .

My Background and Approach

You'll set the goals that feel most important to you with my guidance and support. You set the course and I'll be your guide along the way. I utilize a non-judgmental and encouraging approach as well as techniques from somatic, movement, and expressive arts therapies to help you find ways to build a stronger relationship with yourself. I have extensive experience working with trauma and have worked in social services for almost a decade. I'm a registered Dance/Movement therapist and incorporate a wide variety of therapeutic modalities to support your needs. My approach is grounded in neuroscience and evidence-based practices, but is also intuitive and not afraid to venture into experimental realms.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I identify as a queer cisgender white woman. I am both personally and professionally committed to anti-oppressive work and believe that our liberation is interconnected. I believe that many of the root causes of mental health struggles are systemic, but also that we can utilize the tools within our power to build more meaningful and joyful lives for ourselves and those around us within the structures of systemic injustice. Some of the value systems I align with are: Anti-racism, disability justice, Health at Every Size, queer liberation, neurodivergent affirming. I work to dismantle my own internalized bias around oppression, but know that I will sometimes make mistakes that cause harm. I invite these conversations around harm to be part of the therapeutic relationship.
