Licensed Professional Counselor in West Chester, PA

About My Clients

I provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents. As a general practitioner I help individuals overcome a broad range of challenges and mental health issues. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, PTSD & trauma, grief, stress, relationship issues, phase-of-life challenges, and chronic illness. When working with PTSD and trauma I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). For other issues I use the tools and strengths of CBT, DBT, and Psychodynamic therapy.

My Background and Approach

I earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in 2014; completed my practicum in an inpatient D&A rehab facility; and completed my clinical internship in an outpatient mental health facility. From 2014 to 2017 I provided individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy as a clinician under the guidance of licensed practitioners. Since receiving Professional Counselor licensure in 2017 I have specialized in individual therapy. My approach integrates several therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Dialectic Behavioral therapy, and Cognitive Processing therapy. Every person is different, so I develop a unique treatment plan and set of therapeutic interventions that best fits each one of my clients. Often this means that I will utilize tools from several different therapeutic models, tapping into their various strengths and helping clients most effectively grow and make positive change.
