About My Clients
Are you feeling isolated, or having difficulty connecting with others around you in a way that feels fulfilling and genuine? You may also feel like you're too much or not enough, and seek self-acceptance and freedom from judgement. You may also be an out-of-the-box thinker or creative person who is struggling to feel accepted, loved, or trying to find your voice, your place, or your people in the world. I'm here to offer a judgement-free space to explore these difficult feelings.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a supportive, psychodynamic approach, which primarily means that I am interested in both your past and your present, in order to help you work toward a more content future. I believe that our earliest relationships have the most significant influence on how we view our world and our places in it. Once we identify these influences and patterns, we are able to adjust, reframe, and heal from them. You may think, “I’ve already discussed this with my old therapist,” or “I’m not interested in looking to the past, I need to focus on the future.” You want to reevaluate who and what you want in your life. I can help you sort through what is important to you. We can also work on helping you find relief from burnout, exhaustion, insecurity, and lack of boundaries. Therapy is a relationship like no other, and my own experiences have helped prepare me to help others gain confidence, hope, and finding their most authentic and comfortable selves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about working with people who feel isolated or different, or that they are either too much or not enough for the world around them. Learning self-confidence, self-acceptance, and freedom from judgement can be daunting, and I am committed to helping clients reach their goals. I want to understand clients in their own contexts and cultures, and I believe that our healing is our right.
