About My Clients
Navigating life, relationships and every day challenges doesn't have to be a lonely process. There is a lot of power in self-awareness, in understanding who we are and what purpose we serve. Healing from past hurt and pain can be terrifying and reaching out for help takes a lot of courage. I acknowledge that strength and I am here to listen, foster hope and teach you tools and skills to shift from surviving to thriving.
My Background and Approach
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT #149395. I have my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. I have 2 years of clinical experience that I gathered while working with underserved communities in Los Angeles County. During my work in community mental health, I provided individual, family and group therapy to individuals, children and families struggling with different concerns and problems. I focused on developing clinical skills and expanding my cultural competence, in order to serve my clients in an empathetic and inclusive way. I have a strong clinical interest in the psychodynamic modality and somatic approach to therapy, and I believe in people’s resilience and ability to heal and to have meaningful relationships. My clinical interest also covers the area of maternal mental health and providing the support that new parents need in addressing the multiple layers of parenthood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in showing up for people in the way they need it, in listening without judging, in loving people into becoming. I know that there is a lot of strength in pain, that learning our triggers and facing our fears is one of the most intense and meaningful human experiences.
