Seeing your child in pain can be the most heartbreaking experience to endure, but you and your child don't have to go through it alone. I specialize in working with children and adolescents to overcome things that are difficult to talk about with others. Young adults can experience various negative emotions stemming from peer relationships, family relationships, trauma, and other stimuli. The effects can cause low self esteem, depression, greif, anxiety, or behavioral outbursts.
My Background and Approach
I utilize Art Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and CBT to recognize, understand, and learn how to regulate through the ups, downs, and all arounds of life experiences. It can be challenging for anyone to reach out for help, let alone, a young adult who may be brand new to experiencing adversity or this experience came far too early in life. This is why there is so much power in you being here right now! You are so courageous to seek help for your loved one. More often than not, therapy for youth will include some parent involvement. Whether help rests in supporting goals and treatment, joining requested sessions, or redirecting treatment to the whole family system. Building a trusting and empathetic relationship is fundamental for growth and change, and I am committed to being an ally for your family.
