About My Clients

My ideal client is a woman or LGBTQ+ individual who feels everything deeply—emotions can be intense, relationships feel unstable, and identity often feels uncertain. They may have been labeled as “too much” or felt chronically misunderstood. They crave connection, inner peace, and a stable sense of self. Their goal is to break free from old patterns, stop second-guessing their worth, and feel secure in who they are and how they relate to others. They want more than just coping—they want true hea

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) based in South Carolina and the founder of Arnold Counseling, LLC. My background includes working with adults navigating emotional intensity, relationship struggles, grief, and identity development. I take a relational, trauma-aware approach and integrate emotion-focused therapy, DBT-informed strategies, parts work, and mindfulness into my practice. My own healing journey has deeply shaped how I show up as a therapist — with empathy, authenticity, and a commitment to holding space for your full humanity. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for change and am honored to walk alongside clients who are ready to reclaim their voice and reconnect with themselves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be a safe, inclusive space where people can show up as their full selves — messy, emotional, growing, and real. I'm passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health, especially for those navigating intense emotions, grief, identity shifts, or the weight of being “too much.” I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and committed to anti-oppressive, socially aware care. As someone who has done deep personal work around self-worth, emotional regulation, and identity, I bring compassion and lived understanding into my work. I support causes like mental health accessibility, gender equity, and body liberation. I believe in the healing power of authenticity, community, and honoring each person’s unique path — including spiritual and nontraditional ones. My work is rooted in empathy, accountability, and the belief that growth is always possible.
