About My Clients
Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. They may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. Together, we create a supportive space to understand what’s holding you back, strengthen coping skills, and help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and peace.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Balanced Mind, Balanced Life. With over 15 years of experience in mental health and human services, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of settings, including child welfare, crisis intervention, community mental health, and private practice. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and EMDR-informed techniques to help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change. As a Haitian-American therapist, I value cultural awareness and strive to provide a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens within safe and authentic relationships. Therapy should be a space where you feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow. I approach my work with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique experiences and strengths. I value honesty, self-awareness, and meaningful connection. My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you gain clarity, develop confidence in yourself, and make decisions that align with your values and goals.
