About My Clients
My clients often identify as people of color, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or chronically ill, as well as part of nerd, geek or techie communities. I work best with clients who are looking to build a warm, trusting, and collaborative counseling relationship. Relationships can be powerful and I believe that healing begins with feeling that you are being genuinely heard and cared for.
My Background and Approach
I believe that effective therapy requires a collaborative relationship between the therapist and the client with a foundation of trust, non-judgment, empathy, and consent. I trust that you are the expert on your own experience and that your identities, values, and resilience greatly informs the healing process. I graduated from the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling track of Portland State University's Counseling program in 2023. My specialty track prepared me to work with clients who identify as disabled and/or chronically ill. I was also a National Board of Certified Counseling Mental Health Counseling fellow in 2021, which provided me with additional training and resources to better serve minority populations from a multicultural and feminist lens.
