About My Clients

Are you tired of the cycle of dieting and starting to question whether it's right for you? Feeling overwhelmed every time you order takeout and wishing you could order what you want without stress? Feeling upset when looking at pictures of yourself, even though you had a great time that day? Diet culture is exhausting and it's everywhere. It can be hard to accept yourself when there are constant messages telling you are not enough. I here to provide support in your path towards healing.

My Background and Approach

I support people as they understand how life experiences and societal messages have impacted their relationship with their bodies. I enjoy working with queer people and gender expansive folks who are looking to explore their true selves. Creativity can allow space to be in your feelings in a way that isn’t overwhelming. Sometimes experiences are too hard to talk about, and art can be a way to find the words again. Through my work, I support people in exploring the stories they grew up with and the stories that may have come from somewhere else. Art therapy can be an opportunity to put these stories on paper and step back to get some perspective. Sometimes it’s about finding stories that are affirming and compassionate. Sometimes it's about uncovering the empowering narratives that are already there. For some people, it's finding new stories that reflect their values. I aim to meet people where they are in their journey of self discovery.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a white, queer cis therapist and I use she/her pronouns. I believe my identities are important to how I navigate the world and how I interact with clients in the therapy room. I grew up in New Jersey but have lived in Philly for over 10 years. I currently live with my wife, a fluffy dog named Quincy, and a cat a named Kody. My interests are painting as I'm also a visual artist! I enjoy reading, playing video games and going on walks. I'm am introvert, so I need alone time to feel like my best self. I’m passionate about body liberation and committed to dismantling the oppressive systems that designate certain bodies as more worthy than others. I use intuitive eating, body liberation, and Health at Every Size® principles to guide my practice when working with folks with disordered eating and body image concerns. I work from an anti-oppression model, and I maintain awareness of how systemic issues have impacted one’s experience in their body.
