About My Clients
Everyone can benefit from meeting with a therapist. There are many benefits to therapy whether you are looking to process your day to day stressors or identifying patterns and ways of thinking that have been keeping you from moving forward. My goal is to provide an empathetic and nonjudgmental environment in which you can feel comfortable opening up about the issues you are experiencing.
My Background and Approach
I completed my undergraduate degree at Kean University and Master’s degree from Monmouth University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults using various theoretical models and techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. I have a person centered approach in my clinical work and utilize DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I am experienced with working with a broad range of presenting problems such as substance abuse, personality disorders, trauma, self-harm, depression, anxiety, stress management, and life transitions. I feel building a rapport with my clients is an important part of the therapeutic process. I utilize an empathetic and non-judgmental approach in order to create a safe space where my client’s can feel seen and heard.
