About My Clients
Have you been seeking purpose in your life but it seems elusive and out of reach? Do you have a deep desire to live with meaning but find that anxiety, trauma, depression, life stressors, or a general sense of stuckness get in the way? Time passes and you find yourself stuck on the hamster wheel of your life and it doesn’t feel fulfilling. Sometimes our personal history, social, or environmental factors get the the way and we can’t seem to find the way out of the funk. It’s a tough place to be.
My Background and Approach
People are experts on their experience but a therapist can accompany and help guide a person through the murkier parts of their path. I’ve been working in the wellness field for over 10 years helping people of all ages and all kinds develop tools and skills to quiet the noise that stops them from connecting with themselves. Clients discover what a meaningful life looks like for them and how to live in a way that is fulfilling and nourishing while also helping them develop psychological flexibility and mindfulness-based skills so that they can better navigate challenges. I help clients feel a sense of awe, hope, and possibility again, or maybe for the first time in their lives. Clients appreciate my holistic, compassionate, and multidimensional approach. I have experience working with individuals that have anxiety, adjustment difficulties, traumatic histories, relationship problems, depression, chronic illness, and cultural difficulties.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My story starts as a first-generation American, by way of Cuban and Swiss parents. I grew up in a multicultural and multilingual household; from an early age, I had a deep curiosity about people and their stories. I am profoundly interested in both the inner and outer landscape of people, the workings of the mind, and the connections between mind and body. I am passionate about creativity and "out of the box" thinking. The intersections between eastern philosophies like yoga and western psychology and how they help people live more satisfying and balanced lives interest me greatly.
