About My Clients

I enjoy working with clients who are navigating identity exploration, anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and the unique challenges we face every day. Young adults (18-25) are of most interest to me at this time, particularly those in the LGBTQIA+ community.

My Background and Approach

Let's work together to unpack the "why" behind the behaviors, patterns, roles, and perspectives that impact you, through a process of rapport building, open dialogue, and thoughtful reflection. I strive to: work collaboratively through discomfort and hard moments to empower individuals to embrace their full identities; highlight and uplift their unique strengths and abilities; and create a safe and intentional space where clients can openly explore their personal story. How? As a clinician-in-training, I’m constantly expanding my knowledge, tools, and skills. Currently, I am most drawn to working from a psychodynamic framework, while also using narrative therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I strive to be a well-rounded clinician with an integrative approach though, so I’m eager to try new techniques, frameworks, and methods to collaboratively learn what works best for each individual in their unique journey.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I come into this field from a prior career in product design, where I worked with individuals to enhance their daily lives through digital products and services. Design was an amazing field to practice my innate curiosity, strengthen my community building skills, and amplify individuals' voices to promote positive change. As a therapist, I bring my past education and experiences with me in somewhat of a “tool belt”. I work to ensure I am creating a safe space where individuals can share their unique experiences and vulnerabilities, as well as their ambitions and successes. Regardless of my title or setting, I am driven by a deep curiosity to understand others, hear their stories, and learn from our similarities and differences— which is what lead me to pursing therapy!
