About My Clients
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders through an in-depth psychoanalytic lens. I work with a diverse range of clients, with a specific focus on artists, writers, clinicians, academics, and creative professionals interested in in-depth psychoanalytic work. My work is especially attuned to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ patients. I work an average of 2x per week with my patients, but offer different frequency options depending on your treatment needs and aims.
My Background and Approach
My practice focuses on what is unique to your life experience through compassionate listening & careful attention to the thoughts, feelings, speech, & symptoms of past & present trauma. Those closest to us are not always able to make sense of our most intimate experiences, which can often become a source of distress. I create a safe space in which you can speak freely & elaborate on your concerns in finding the words that make sense of your suffering. I follow a psychoanalytic approach that explores your concerns in-depth, allowing you to be heard, seen, & understood in ways that are attuned to your life context & experiences. What are you trying to say that others cannot support? What concerns do you struggle with that seek to be heard & clarified? What patterns are repeating in your life & relationships that you want to break? What are your dreams pointing to? Together, we will openly discuss & give meaning to past losses & present disappointments in achieving long-term change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have extensive training in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy and am a member the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis (www.lacanschool.com)
