About My Clients
I have a specialization in athletes & performers, and enjoy working with a variety of people interested in balance in a life of rigor, identity clarification and development, and navigating challenges and stuck points. Often, my clients have disavowed parts of themselves while pursuing an activity intensely and we work together to reintegrate those parts and grow with a unified sense of self. This process can help you live a life that feels meaningful, in a way that is sustainable and rewarding.
My Background and Approach
I completed my undergraduate education at Princeton University. During that time, I founded a student group for artists, athletes, and performers interested in managing challenges related to their end-of-career transitions. I then earned a master’s in social work at the University of Pennsylvania. Following this, I was awarded a Fulbright grant to study sport psychology at the University of Stirling in Scotland, where I completed a dissertation that explored athletes’ experiences of social support during transitions out of sport. I have 11 years of experience in the world of classical ballet. I trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, D.C. and worked as a professional ballet dancer with the Donbass Opera and Ballet Theater/Donetsk Ballet of Ukraine.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In sessions, I aim to join with you to co-create a warm, compassionate space. I will accompany you as you learn more about yourself and offer you support as you grow. I view acceptance as essential to change and I see every moment as new. With greater understanding of your experiences, your desires, and the opportunity each moment provides, we can work together to exist in the present and build towards the future. I will offer you support for maintaining patterns that are working for you, while also developing new skills that will help you move in the direction you want to go.
