Welcome to my Soul-Centered and Buddhist Psychotherapy practice🙏
Psychotherapist in San Rafael, CA
I offer a therapeutic approach and perspective that comes from a lifetime of exploring and understanding different faiths and spiritual paths. I’m a Multi-Faith Minister as well as a 30 plus year Buddhist and Vipassana Mindfulness Practitioner. I’ve worked as a Bereavement Chaplain in a Cancer Hospital and a Midwife to the Dying and their Families. Creating sacred space comes naturally, due to my background in shamanism, native american practices and being a nature-lover.
As a thirty-five plus year mindfulness meditation practitioner and a certified mindfulness teacher, I am personally and professionally qualified to support you in realizing the depths of self-awareness you are seeking.
My mindfulness-based therapy practice and training is equally rooted in body-based awareness. We will work together to help you learn to make the “two foot drop” from your head to your heart - to live what I call from your “heart body” instead of your mind.
I offer numerous transpersonal modalities to choose from, all with the foundation of mindfulness as your root and your guide. Dreamwork, the spiritual enneagram, shamanic journeying, hypnotherapy, radiance breath work and diamond approach inquiry - are all available to utilize if you feel moved.
I’ve had a lifetime of loss that has catalyzed my heart to be broken wide open to the love that holds everything together in this blessed life. This is the gift behind the pain, that everyone can realize. I am a grief guide that can hold you tenderly, through the depths of pain and loss you are experiencing. Professionally, I’ve been a suicide counselor, hospice grief therapist, hospital chaplain, Alzheimer’s therapist, cancer support group facilitator, and spiritual midwife to the dying.
Due to my own journey of exploring extreme anxiety through mindfulness practice, and my extensive professional training - we can successfully work together to help you dramatically change your experience with the arising of anxiety/fear in your mind, body and spirit. Almost all fear comes from the minds addiction to living in the past and future, and through mindfulness you will learn to deepen your present moment awareness to shift to living in the now. Now is truly the only time there is!
