About My Clients
My clients are motivated, self-aware and open minded individuals that are looking to transform their lives from the inside out. They know there's something holding them back and they're sick and tired of being stuck. Many have experienced trauma and struggle from anxiety, depression, substance abuse, low self-esteem and interpersonal challenges. They want to free themselves and have often tried many approaches. I offer a holistic solution you will love. Licensed in CA and CT.
My Background and Approach
I have an M.A. & Ed.M in Psychological Counseling from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Have been trained in 8 evidenced based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). If you have any history of trauma EMDR is the most effective treatment I can recommend with over 20 years experience in the mental health field. I'm also a Holotopic Breathwork Teacher which facilities mind, body and spirit integration and healing. My approach is strength-based, collaborative and holistic. I also use a lot of humor and have been called a "soul whisper" due to my ability to establish trust with clients especially reluctant teens. Clients like my approachability, openness and no nonsense style.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
First, let's be clear that no matter what you're struggling with there's nothing wrong with you. You're not broken and you don't need to be fixed. Second, you are the authority on you. My job is to facilitate your healing, integration and clarity so that you can listen to yourself. I don't have your answers only you do. My commitment is to helping to access them and become the fullest expression of yourself. I firmly believe that we are complete, whole beings and that dis-ease occurs when we've internalized untruths about ourselves such as "I am bad" that need to be excavated and released. When we do this we become more compassionate to ourselves and others thus your healing serves the collective. That's amazing and I feel honored to be on the journey with you.
