About My Clients
My focus of work is around issues of loneliness, guilt, boundaries, and accountability, with particular interest in working with: * Therapists, spiritual leaders, teachers, and community leaders who struggle with feeling too responsible for others, and feel guilt when prioritizing their own needs. * People who have caused harm to others and are working an accountability process of making amends and self-reflection to understand how that harm occurred and what needs to change.
My Background and Approach
I have been a mental health therapist since I graduated in September 2013 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle. My professional counseling experience includes work with LGBTQIA people, homeless youth and adults, people with chronic mental illness, and people who have been incarcerated or sentenced for criminal charges. I have completed Level 1 and 2 trainings of Internal Family Systems and am working toward certification. My therapy is humanistic and psychodynamic, informed by Psychosynthesis, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Focusing, Transpersonal and Integral psychologies, and Jungian depth psychotherapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer person who is also an active participant in Neopagan and Western esoteric religious communities. My values align with the call of the Abolitionist movement that strives to make prisons obsolete by investing in strong, robust, autonomous communities that are able to address harms done within a framework of Transformative Justice. I believe in Liberation as a spiritual and political aim, supporting the work toward freedom and autonomy for all beings.
