My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years of experience working with people from many different walks of life. My passion is working with women at every season and stage of life. From the woman who has it all together on the outside and is falling apart on the inside, to the one just starting to ask who she even is anymore. My approach is eclectic and trauma-informed, drawing from person-centered, relational, Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, Adlerian theory, and strengths-based work tailored to fit what you actually need, not what a textbook says you should need. I don't look at just what's happening in the therapy room. Your relationships, your history, your community, and everything happening around you shapes what you carry and all of it matters in our work together. I bring warmth, humor, and authenticity to every session. Real healing happens in real relationships, so I show up as a whole person who is present, real, and invested in your growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe real healing happens in real relationships. Not with a therapist who shows up as a blank slate, but with someone willing to be present in the messiness of it with you. Growing up as a woman of color, I watched people around me carry pain they didn't have words for, passing it down without ever meaning to. Breaking that cycle is what brought me to this work and it's what keeps me grounded in why it matters. Outside of the therapy room, I'm a mom who is also doing her own healing work. This practice welcomes and affirms BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients. You don't have to code-switch, perform, or shrink to feel safe here. Every person who walks through my door deserves to feel like someone is genuinely invested in their healing. That is not something I take lightly.
