About My Clients

Have you ever felt misunderstood? Alone? As though no one will ever understand? My clients often answer these questions with a resounding 'yes!'. My clients have also found acceptance, healing, validation, and empowerment through their meaningful work with me. We often feel as though we are alone in our suffering, but in both my personal and professional experience that is certainly not the case! I don't want you to have to suffer alone anymore, and I look forward to helping you find healing.

My Background and Approach

As a holistic therapist, I believe it is extremely important to incorporate all parts of being-physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual-into our sessions. My style has been described by past clients as being genuine, warm, engaging, and "human". I became a therapist because I am passionate about guiding others to reach their full potential. Sometimes life gets in the way of the things we would like to achieve. Anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, or illness stand as a roadblock to who we really are. As your therapist, I provide support in a non-judgmental atmosphere that feels real and authentic; I provide you with space that allows for growth, discovery, and healing. I'm not here to give advice or tell you how to live your life, but rather to provide you with coping skills that allow you to weather the storm more confidently. In my person-centered practice, I meet you where you are and utilize a variety of clinical interventions such as CBT, MI, or EFT.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am extremely passionate about working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a chronic health condition. As someone who struggles with a chronic disease myself, I know how challenging it is to find positive supports who understand what it is like to live with a chronic condition. I hope to provide support, encouragement, and hope from the stance of someone who truly understands. Not everyone has a mental illness, but everyone has mental health. Therapy is an excellent tool that we can utilize to strengthen our mental health by learning coping skills, increasing insight and awareness, gaining support and unconditional positive regard, and having a safe space to process openly. Therapy is most effective when you want to seek change, but that doesn't mean that therapy can't be helpful if you're a little unsure about or hesitant to make that change. I believe that everyone deserves to have access to a mental health professional that is a good fit for them.
