About My Clients
As someone with late-diagnosed ADHD, I understand the unique challenges that come with neurodiversity. Many adults with ADHD struggle due to a lack of awareness, education, and social stigma associated with the label. If you're interested in exploring further, I'd be happy to chat with you about ADHD norms and provide knowledge and resources to help you attain a better sense of personal control and self-awareness.
My Background and Approach
I obtained my Master of Science in Social Work from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. With over four years of experience working in diverse settings such as research, therapy practices, high schools, and juvenile detention centers, I've had the opportunity to work with adults, couples, adolescents, and families facing a wide range of challenges. Through my experience, I've gained expertise and training in various clinical frameworks, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solutions-oriented brief therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy. My therapy style is best described as eclectic and person-centered. I understand that every individual's journey is unique, and my approach is tailored to meet your specific needs. We will explore all aspects of your life, collaborate together to find solutions, and ensure that you leave our sessions feeling understood and empowered.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that taking the first step towards self-discovery and growth takes great strength and courage, and I want to personally congratulate you for choosing to seek support. Together, we can work towards creating a warm and inviting environment where you can feel safe and empowered.
