Chronic illness is any illness that there is not a cure for and those who are afflicted with these illnesses often experience feelings of isolation, low self worth, financial issues, and changes in passion for goals and even familial relationships. Examples of chronic illness may include, but are not limited to, Arthritis conditions including RA, Asthma, Crohn's Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes 1 and 2, Epilepsy, HIV, Kidney Disease (CKD, ESRD), and MS (Multiple Sclerosis).

Depression is a condition that many people face due to present conditions or experiences from their past. Depression can be disabling and impact daily functioning.

I do not actually like the term "Women's Issues", however I identify this as a specialty as I have much experience working with females and there are issues that we sometimes face due to our gender.

I have advanced certification in hypnotherapy and practice the Heart Centered modality. I find that hypnotherapy seems to speed the healing process with the ability to delve deeply into the subconscious where we are truly in touch with our innermost thoughts and feelings. Hypnotherapy allows us to clear our minds and move past the cognitive rationalizations and roadblocks that we uphold.

Holistic therapy simply means that the "whole" person is considered. This means that our hydration, nutrition, sleep, relationships, work habits, and just about anything else that you engage in on a regular basis can affect our mental health. Some people choose to work adjunctly with a physician or psychiatrist for medication and others elect to conquer mental health medication free, both of these decisions are holistic.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, however the "Eye Movement" portion of the name is a bit of a misnomer. What we are actually focusing on in EMDR is bilateral stimulation, which allows us to delve deeply into our thoughts and feelings so that we can process these experiences and decrease or alleviate suffering.
