About My Clients
Are you feeling activated, overwhelmed, or unable to shake what you’ve recently seen or learned about in the news regarding sexual abuse, exploitation, or institutional betrayal? When public revelations bring graphic or disturbing realities into focus, they can stir up anxiety, anger, grief, or old trauma you thought you had already worked through. You may notice heightened vigilance, emotional flooding, or a loss of trust in people and systems. Therapy can help you make sense of these reactions
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed mental health counselor and the owner of Thrive Sex Therapy Institute, with experience working across community mental health, group practice, and private practice settings. I hold post-graduate certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP), which allows me to work thoughtfully with trauma, sexual concerns, and complex relational dynamics. My background means I understand how trauma shows up differently across ages, relationships, and life stages—and how important pacing, consent, and emotional safety are in the healing process. I work with individuals ages 5+ and couples navigating sexual trauma, betrayal, relational harm, identity concerns, and loss of trust. My approach is collaborative and grounded. Rather than pushing for quick fixes, we focus on understanding your responses, building regulation, and restoring a sense of agency so change feels sustainable and respectful of your nervous
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when it is rooted in respect, consent, and genuine curiosity about who you are and what you’ve lived through. I value autonomy, emotional safety, and collaboration, and I strive to create a space where you don’t have to perform, explain, or minimize your experience to be understood. I am affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities, relationships, and families, and I support social justice movements that center equity, bodily autonomy, and human rights, including Black Lives Matter. I recognize that trauma does not occur in a vacuum, and that systems of power, oppression, and marginalization can deeply shape mental health, relationships, and access to safety. I also value neurodiversity and believe there is no single “right” way to think, feel, relate, or heal. My hope is that therapy feels inclusive, thoughtful, and responsive—so you are met as your full, complex self.
