About My Clients
I support queer, trans, and nonbinary people, folks yearning for justice, people healing from interpersonal and systemic violence, and those longing for deeper relationships with themselves and others. I work with activists, healers, and organizers, survivors of sexual violence, white people interrogating whiteness, folks addressing internalized oppression, Jews, parents, and postpartum people.
My Background and Approach
Many of us arrive in therapy feeling unsafe or unsettled in our bodies. Whatever you are experiencing, be that anxiety, depression, the pain of trauma or oppression, together we will collaborate to tend to what hurts and to nurture the vitality inside you. I am not here to “fix” you (because there is nothing to “fix”). I am here to help you come into relationship with all the parts of yourself. I will be present with you, making space for what wants to emerge. I primarily work somatically, while holding the larger context of injustice that surrounds us. Together we will listen for your body’s knowing, following your sensations, emotions, movements, and memories as clues to guide the healing journey. I am a white, queer, nonbinary femme and Ashkenazi Jew. I bring warmth, realness, and a sense of humor as a therapist. I am informed by various lineages: those of generative somatics, hakomi, breema, attachment theory, and relational therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am in awe of the healing that can happen when we follow the body while held in connection. I trust the body to show us the way forward. I trust that presence and connection heal. I see individual and collective healing as entwined and therapy as a political space where oppression and hierarchies inside us can be identified and unraveled.
