About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults with challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, identity and self-esteem issues, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from Florida State University. I work full-time as a school social worker and have experience working in community mental health, private practice, and residential treatment. In my work experience, I see every day how environments/systems, whether that be at home, work, or in the community, can affect our mental health and ability to heal and feel safe. That is why social justice and counseling go hand in hand regarding liberation. Finding liberation looks different for everyone, and I am here to help you meet your goals. Here at Liberation Counseling, you can access quality virtual counseling and accessible mental health and social justice resources. I provide a holistic client-centered perspective using play, art, dialectical behavioral, somatic, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches. These approaches allow individuals to explore their identity and emotions while learning coping skills in a safe space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an active member of the LGBTQ and mixed-race community, school social worker, and social justice advocate, I am a believer in looking at problems holistically and understanding how systems and environments can affect our behavior and how we feel.
