About My Clients
You may be struggling to know who you are, especially when culture, family, or past experiences tell different stories. I work with high school students, college students, and adults in their 20s and 30s who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, or questions about identity. You might feel lost, unsure of what truly fits, or pressured to follow a path that does not feel like your own. Therapy offers space to reconnect with your values and build direction and purpose.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. My approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care. I have supported clients in university counseling centers, school-based clinics, and community health settings. As someone who is both Sinhalese and White, I bring lived experience with cultural complexity and the feeling of being between worlds. Whether you are exploring your identity, working through trauma, or feeling stuck in a role that no longer fits, therapy can help you reconnect with your values and move toward a life that feels more aligned and meaningful. Healing is not about erasing parts of yourself. It is about honoring your story and learning how to carry it with strength and self-compassion. The name of my practice, Mosaic Psychotherapy, reflects this belief. Each person is made of many parts, and therapy offers a space to bring them together into something whole and uniquely yours.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be culturally aware, identity-affirming, and guided by your values. I’m committed to racial justice, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and helping clients explore how systems, stories, and roles have shaped their lives and how to step into something more aligned. I see therapy as an act of clarity and liberation, not just a place for symptom relief. My work is also rooted in reflection and experiential learning, shaped by my background in youth leadership and challenge course facilitation. That foundation continues to guide how I support clients in finding their own voice, direction, and inner compass.
