I use a cognitive-behavioral approaching to help clients overcome depression. In other words, we will work to change problematic thought patterns that result in feelings of sadness, hopeless, fatigue, and lack of motivation. Our thoughts impact our feelings, and our feelings impact our behavior. By addressing negative thought patterns, I help clients gain more positive feelings and more positive behaviors, leaving them feeling happy, satisfied, and fulfilled!

Using a CBT approach, I help clients move past anxious feelings to start enjoying their lives with a sense of ease! Often times, our anxieties are rooted in thought patterns that were developed from experiences in our life. I help clients process the roots of their anxiety, thought patterns that resulted, and provide interventions to rewire the anxious brain!

Healthy relationships are essential for a satisfying and fulfilling life and are shown in research to be a key component to happiness and longevity. I work with individuals and couples to help them gain a better understanding of their significant other(s). Many times, communication styles and other behaviors trigger negative emotional responses in our loved ones. If we can understand our own tendencies and understand the triggers of others, we can function more effectively together!

We will work to identify negative thinking patterns leading to uncomfortable feelings and problematic behaviors. By identifying these maladaptive thoughts we will use research-based interventions to rewire the brain.
