About My Clients
Things are definitely different between us. And I want them to be better. But I also am tired of having the same conversation over and over again. It just brings me back to childhood - hearing my parents fight all the time. I don’t want that. I don’t want our kids to grow up hearing that. But we’re stuck in this place where nothing feels like it’s changing and I don’t know how much longer either one of us can take it.
My Background and Approach
Couples therapy is a brave choice when you’re feeling stuck and unhappy in your relationship. It can be the key to finding the love and respect you once had for each other. I love doing transformational work with stuck couples and individuals who are going through life transitions. I have a strong ability and interest in engaging and developing strong therapeutic connections with individuals, couples and families experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use, navigating life changes and more.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My experience working as a clinician with first responders and their families has provided me with the opportunity to immerse myself in working with a nuanced and unique population with a wide range of ages, experiences and presenting problems. I am client-centered and tailor my approach to my client's needs. I draw from several theoretical backgrounds and theories, and am a strong believer in collaboration when treatment planning. Co-creating a strong, supportive therapeutic relationship is important to me.
