About My Clients

Are negative thoughts taking over your life? Is something causing stress in your life? Perhaps you have goals you want to reach or habits you want to adopt or drop, but nothing you try seems to work. Maybe you feel unaccepted by others or struggle to set and keep boundaries.

My Background and Approach

Therapy can help you set your personal goals, work through feelings and other barriers getting in your way, improve your coping skills and relationships, and make some changes to improve your resilience and quality of life. I have experience counseling clients with various presenting concerns, such as generalized and social anxiety, depression, relationship problems, life transitions, school and work performance struggles, and grief. My clients tend to describe me as warm, calming, and accepting. At the same time, I choose interventions specifically tailored to your needs. In therapy, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness practices, self-compassion practices, solution-focused therapy, and feminist therapy (when appropriate).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have been an active member of the LGBTQ+ community as a trixic nonbinary person for over 10 years, having organized/led groups and participated in activism. I provide a safe space for clients of all genders, whether you are trans, nonbinary, or cis (as in not transgender), as well as clients of any sexuality label: bisexual, gay, lesbian, a-spec, heterosexual, or others. I also see LGBTQ+ couples, non-monogamous clients and their partners, and QP partners. This space is sex-positive, which means that you will find no shaming here regarding consensual expression of sexuality. I am kink-friendly, and I support those who explore their sexuality, identity, or mental health through kink whether it is through the kink scene or through kinky fiction. I strive to create a safe space free of judgment.
