About My Clients

I love working with artists, highly sensitive folks, and social outcasts of all kinds. I believe there is a place for you in this world, even when it feels like it wasn't designed with you in mind at all. As a therapist, I bring personal experience and empathy to struggles with self-doubt, perfectionism, creative block, loss of identity, interpersonal challenges, neurodivergence, overwhelm, difficulty accessing repressed emotions, social and performance anxiety, and existential concerns.

My Background and Approach

Together, we will use a humanistic and strengths-based approach grounded in body-centered therapy, parts work, creative self-expression, guided meditation, and mindful self-compassion to help you identify and remove the obstacles that block your path to self-actualization and acceptance. These techniques incorporate your individuality, the body, the here and now, and your own unique internal landscape to access material that can be difficult to articulate through talk therapy alone. Additionally, I am an experienced visual artist and passionate about the role of creativity in self-expression, community, and catharsis - this is an important aspect of my identity and greatly informs my work as a therapist. I often incorporate journal prompts and art-making into session and as homework as a way to deepen our understanding of who you are and what you value.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that humans are naturally oriented towards self-realization, seeking balance, and belonging to safe-feeling communities – We are wired for growth and connection. However, it is also natural to encounter pain, setbacks, and suffering as these are fundamental parts of being alive and are interwoven into the human experience. With support and intention, I believe these challenges become transformative opportunities to resource inherent strength and expand our knowledge of the self. The experience of a crisis can serve as an invitation to turn towards what must shift in order to move forward. While this is a deeply internal process, you don't have to do it alone. It is important to stay connected to those who can see you through to the other side. I am here to support you in the process of truly turning towards yourself - perhaps for the first time - and will hold space for all parts of your experience.
