How I Can Help You
My approach is about creating insight into subconscious mental and emotional processes, which we then use to develop skills for desired behavior change. I assist with creating connections between experiences you’ve had throughout your life and your current circumstances to find patterns that illuminate the "why" behind it all. For trauma processing, I am certified to use a type of therapy called Accelerated Resolution Therapy, which is an evidence-based practice that uses voluntary image replacement to help decrease distressing imagery related to trauma (as well as everyday mental health concerns). This type of therapy usually lasts between one and five sessions and doesn’t require clients to say much about what they’ve experienced; plus, many clients report feeling significant improvement in symptoms after completion of just one session.
