About My Clients
I have a strong passion for working with late adolescents and young adults who have experienced trauma in their lives and are seeking holistic ways to return to a place of calm and equilibrium. My goal is to collaborate with you to identify creative ways to help you heal from trauma, alleviate distress you may feel and communicate more effectively to repair and rebuild relationships with those around you.
My Background and Approach
I believe in using a client centered approach where we will explore healing techniques and capitalize on those which work best for your needs. You already possess all of the values, skills and knowledge to heal; my role is to help bring them back into focus. I am trained in EMDR and also have experience engaging clients in talk therapy, CBT, Mindfulness training and Motivational Interviewing. I have specialized knowledge working with people who have survived sexual trauma and domestic minor sex trafficking. I can also help you to address overthinking, life transitions, self-exploration and managing stress. There is benefit to working with clinicians who also have training as life coaches because we not only help our clients move past their current circumstances and barriers but also assist with maintaining accountability toward future goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that if you have made it to this site you are meant to be here and reaching out for help is the courageous next step in your journey. Therapy and coaching have come a very long way from what is often portrayed in the movies and is nothing to be afraid nor ashamed of. I believe in the human capacity to make our lives exactly what we want it to be and sometimes we just need a little encouragement and guidance to get us on the path to our best lives.
