About My Clients

Do you feel exhausted, simultaneously both restricted AND out of control, trying to keep everything together but knowing you have a powder keg of emotion under wraps? You are smart & achieving, yet while you walk amongst your fellow man, no one knows...that you ultimately feel powerless and uncertain. Psychotherapy can help make sense of and heal past traumas so you can have the freedom you're craving.

My Background and Approach

I have been a licensed therapist since 2010. I received my undergraduate degree from Princeton and my masters at UCLA. My career has spanned settings, from community clinics to hospitals to private practice. My private practice focuses trauma and its impact on relationships, self-esteem and body and food issues, but mostly my clients are smart, motivated, and hiding a struggle. Sometimes we all just need someone we can depend on, to share our innermost truth. I offer EMDR, a type of therapy that works to reduce the impact around past traumas, and I am also a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I believe my job is to see and understand you, to help you see and understand yourself, and to help you take steps to live a life that works for you. It's not always easy to look, but we will do it together. Our relationship is a critical part of the work we will do together and one I consider my most important role as a fellow traveler.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I've been accused of being too compassionate in sessions, but it is not my job to be hard on you, when you do that enough yourself. I believe it's important to look and to grow and embrace curiosity. I practice from a Health at Every Size perspective. I am sex-positive and kink-aware. I like to think that regardless of who you are or what you're interested in exploring, I can hold the space to understand with curiosity and without judgment. I hold at least two spots in my practice for sliding scale/pro bono clients. I am a dog person, but I have two cats and they might make an appearance in a telehealth session in any given day (because they give me no choice).

I offer online counseling in the following states:
