About My Clients
Do you feel there is a disconnect between who you want to be and who you are? Has a life event knocked you off course, and you are trying to regain your bearings? Is it difficult for you to be kind to yourself or live authentically? I know how difficult it can be to be a stranger in your own life or to feel incomplete. I can help you put the pieces back together, explore your values and goals, and help you craft the person you want to be and the life you want to live.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about helping others create meaning in their lives. I provide an attentive, nonjudgmental, validating space where we—at your pace—uncover, rebuild, and refine your story and sense of vitality. I believe all emotions and thoughts belong; and I will help you put the pieces back together in a way that feels right to you. I enjoy helping people create a life of authenticity, self-compassion, self-care, and personal growth. I use a combination of talk therapy and skills to help you live your best life. I have training in DBT and am a Certified Grief Specialist. Self-growth books and podcasts are incredibly important to me, both personally and professionally. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with these resources so that I can grow my best self as an individual and a psychologist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have a beauty, a greatness within--even if we don't see it, feel it, or believe it. I believe that there is meaning to everything and everyone, and the more we can connect to this meaning, the fuller we can grow and live our lives. Oftentimes, our resistance to loving ourselves or resisting the imperfections of life keeps us from discovering our meaning and fullest potential. I want to help you thrive in discovering meaning and worth in all that life is and all that you are, as life unfolds and you flourish into the person that you are meant to be.
