About My Clients
You may be feeling like you don’t have the emotional resources to get through something really hard in your life right now. This may be a loss, trauma, or even a transition. Or maybe you crave deeper relationships (with your partner, kids, friends). When you work with me you will feel seen and understood and will feel less alone as you navigate change.
My Background and Approach
I listen deeply and carefully in order to understand your unique identity and experiences. My therapy approach is rooted in the idea of "being with" my clients (often in times of emotional pain and difficulty) rather than "doing to" or "fixing" my clients. Through a safe, therapeutic relationship, we can figure things out together. Look at the hard stuff together. Emotions will start to feel less scary, you'll gain greater self-awareness and confidence, and you'll feel better able to connect deeply with others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
People often work with me to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and loss. And a lot of times it’s about relationships (a devastating break up, loneliness, or fear of being alone). In my spare time I love to read, learn, and attend trainings in the counseling field and connect with other therapists. I am married and have have two young children. If I had a day where I could do anything…I would comb the beach for shark’s teeth for hoooours while drinking coffee. If you would like to talk to see if we are a good fit, I'd love to hear from you.
