I have passion for meeting people where they’re at and helping them move towards change and healing.

I help those struggling with disordered eating develop a healthier relationship with food, exercise, and with their own bodies. While I know it feels hopeless, I believe that through therapy, I can help you find freedom from the compulsive thoughts and behaviors that fuel your disordered eating. I help you better understand all the factors that contribute to complicated relationships with food, exercise, and your body. Along with this understanding, I work to give you tools.
I help self-critical overfunctioners who have often walked through various traumas in life cultivate a healthier and more connected relationship with self, others, and the world around them. I bring enthusiasm and hope into each session, meeting you with compassion, acceptance, and patience. As a client, you will feel seen as we work to embrace everything that makes us each human, including pain and laughter.
I help those who feel stuck in their relationships, dating and career find meaning and direction in life, so that they can move forward in the areas of life in which they feel paralyzed. Through therapy, my clients experience freedom from anxiety by breaking free from the issues that are covering up their true selves. There will be a mix of humor, sarcasm and frank discussion used to process the pain, along with tools to help you utilize the techniques you learn.
Along with ACT, I value DBT as an action-oriented tool. DBT is evidence-based and can be helpful in changing behavioral patterns. DBT can be helpful in areas including emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, making DBT a tool for helping you be more connected to self, others, and the world around you.
Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy. I have observed it lead to change for many individuals, including myself. BSP is grounded in the idea that “Where you look affects how you feel,” as identified by its founder and developer, David Grand, PhD.
I have a strong foundation in ACT after utilizing this modality in higher level of care settings for years. I value ACT as a tool to help guide you towards greater alignment with yourself and your values while also providing you with skills related to mindfulness and helping you interact with your own thoughts and feelings without judgement. I appreciate how action-oriented ACT is as a tool in therapy.
