About My Clients
If you've ever been told you're "too much" or "not enough," we might be a good fit. am deeply committed to promoting meaningful change in the lives of neurodivergent folx struggling with disordered eating, obsessional doubt, and anxiety. My specialization lies in addressing co-occurring EDs/OCD, orthorexia, and ARFID at the unique intersection of neurodivergence.
My Background and Approach
I have a decade of recovery from my own eating disorder and lived experience with OCD. Before becoming a licensed therapist, I worked in mental health advocacy and peer-to-peer support. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a liberatory and equity framework that recognizes the impact of systemic oppression on mental health. When it comes to eating disorders, I embrace a harm-reduction approach based on the principles of Health at Every SizeĀ®, respecting your autonomy over your own body. For OCD, I provide Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) and ACT-informed Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailoring my methods to your specific needs and preferences. As a clinician, I dive deep into the nuances of your experience, seeking to understand your sensory profile and the intricacies of your unique neurotype. My goal is to ensure that my approach aligns with the way your brain functions to best support your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I reject the medical model and subscribe to the social model of disability. As such, I champion an anti-carceral approach to care, where you actively shape your treatment with my guidance and clinical expertise. Rather than aiming to "fix" you through behavioral interventions, my goal is to help you lead a values-driven life. Together, we'll navigate the unique complexities of neurodivergence and help you find the strength to overcome your challenges, rewrite your story, and embrace a life characterized by balance, confidence, and fulfillment.
