About My Clients
I believe we all face barriers in reaching our full potential. These barriers can be symptoms of depression or anxiety, like a lack of energy or racing thoughts. Furthermore, they could be self doubt, problems sleeping, relationship conflict, or just feeling lost or stuck in a rut. However, what if we consider these symptoms as a signal that our mind is seeking growth towards something greater?
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Simply put, I focus on the connection between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions (see resources tab for more information). From this simple concept, we can identify barriers, brainstorm solutions, review coping skills, and reach goals. I have 16 years of experience using scientifically proven skills and tools to help clients achieve their goals. As a result of my experience as a member of an integrated care team, I believe in a whole person approach to treatment. This means I consider all parts of your life to promote health and happiness. During those 16 years, I have acquired certifications in CBT for Insomnia (CBT-i), biofeedback, pain management, diabetes management, and integrated care. With an additional certificate in telehealth counseling in Colorado, I look forward to being able to connect with more adults in our great state.
