About My Clients
The human experience is complex, yet empowering. Oftentimes, our lack of knowledge due to inexperience and lack of positive mentors, can create debilitating and limiting mindsets that make it difficult for us to feel connected to who we truly are. On top of that, difficult life events can overwhelm our coping mechanisms and pull us even further away from ourselves. I empower my clients with the tools of self-understanding, personal empowerment, and self love.
My Background and Approach
I offer an existential/humanistic understanding of each client, to clarify their worldview and emotional experiences. I then, integrate components of mindfulness and self-regulation, to help each person understand their emotional experiences, as well as make meaning of difficult life events that are beyond our immediate control. I see therapy as self-growth. It is not for the "broken, or crazy" people. Therapy provides one with the tools for self-understanding, self -acceptance, and self love, which are fundamental for living an authentic and meaningful life. Once such love and acceptance are reached, then we can handle the challenges of uncontrollable, external events/other harmoniously.
