I offer an existential/humanistic understanding of each client, to clarify their worldview and emotional experiences. I then, integrate components of mindfulness and self-regulation, to help each person understand their emotional experiences, as well as make meaning of difficult life events that are beyond our immediate control.
I see therapy as self-growth. It is not for the "broken, or crazy" people. Therapy provides one with the tools for self-understanding, self -acceptance, and self love, which are fundamental for living an authentic and meaningful life. Once such love and acceptance are reached, then we can handle the challenges of uncontrollable, external events/other harmoniously.
