About My Clients

Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, and confused and tired of having the same old issues- conflict with your partner or boss, stress from work that makes it difficult to parent without losing your temper? Do you want more freedom and ease in relationships and at work? I can help you find a more embodied and full expression of your true self and your innate strength and wisdom. I will help you to identify patterns that may not be serving you as well as they once did to create more freedom.

My Background and Approach

My approach integrates mindfulness-based and body-centered approaches that allow for exploration of experience, Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, and PACT Couple Therapy®. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Master of Education in Educational Psychology and the degree of Educational Specialist in School Psychology. I have always been an active learner and continually seek new skills and approaches to assist individuals. Additionally, I am a certified yoga instructor and utilize trauma-sensitive yoga to support individuals in learning to regulate physical and emotional reactions, reinhabit the body safely, and to feel a sense of strength and control. Yoga is an effective adjunctive treatment for survivors of trauma.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My approach to counseling and working with individuals and couples is based on this incredible message: We are already whole and don’t need to be fixed. We may need support to reconnect to our inner guidance that knows the way. Although we may experience times of profound disillusionment, depression, or pain, and see ourselves as wounded or damaged, the depth of our wholeness, goodness, and capacity is always there and can burn brightly when we are able to see the conditions and thoughts that make us feel wounded or damaged as what they are: experiences and thoughts- and not our true self which lies beyond experiences and thoughts.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
(High Functioning) Depression

Let’s get real here…depression does not discriminate. And, for that matter, anxiety, bipolar disorder, suicide, trauma, don’t discriminate either. Individuals from all age groups, gender identities, cultures, religions, races and social-economic backgrounds have depression… and, it is not something that should be a secret.
