About My Clients
Psychotherapy can be very helpful to many people who find life more difficult than they would like it to be. Starting psychotherapy is not easy and I will help you navigate treatment choices. When you come in, I will listen carefully to what you are going through. It is important to me that you feel safe and respected. Together we will try to understand your challenges and begin to make helpful changes. We will figure out the goals of treatment and work towards your goals at your own pace.
My Background and Approach
I currently see adolescents, adults, and elderly clients in my private practice, where I provide individual and family psychotherapy. I have developed a strong interest in integrating neuroscience with modern theories of mental functioning and I incorporate this knowledge in my clinical work. I am a member of the Maryland Psychological Association and Neuropsychoanalysis society. My paper on trauma psychotherapy won an award from the American Psychological Association's Division 29’s. My paper on working with complex trauma was published in a peer-reviewed Neuropsychoanalysis journal. Other papers are currently going through the peer review process. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and a Clinical Fellow of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Association. I am authorized to practice telehealth therapy in PSYPACT states, including AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, CNMI, DC, DE, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NC, NJ, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA WV, WI.
