About My Clients
Many of my clients are coming to therapy for self-improvement, working through a traumatic event and the impacts of this event on them today, managing anxiety/depression, and improving self-esteem/body image. My clients are often feeling the impact of these issues on their daily life and are determined to work to heal from the wounds associated with these issues. My clients are important to me and I pride myself on having a trusting relationship with each and every client.
My Background and Approach
I am certified as a Trauma practitioner, which incorporates various techniques to assist with processing, healing from, and working through trauma or other concerns. I believe that what we go through in our past impacts us in the present, so together, we discuss these impacts and how to best work through them. You are in the driver seat, and I am here to guide you and work with you around the roadblocks. We will work on understanding the impact of early experiences on your present life, while shifting negative thoughts to make them more positive and realistic. I look forward to starting on this journey with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is worthy of the time and space of therapy. I take my relationship with clients seriously and value the trust they are putting in me by sharing some of the most intimate details of their life. While I take my client relationships seriously, I don't take myself too seriously. I believe in approaching sessions as both a therapist and also a human - trust me, usually I can relate to you! I believe that we are all capable of living our best lives, and with a little direction and support, we can get there. I look forward to helping you through that!
