About My Clients

When you're struggling with an eating disorder, it can be hard to open up and trust another person with your recovery journey with all the messages flying at you from every direction about who you "should" be and what it means to be "healthy." Building body trust takes time, and it requires a safe space for you to fully explore what it means to be a human in this world that expects "perfection" (which doesn't exist!).

My Background and Approach

I work through a Health at Every Size (HAES)-informed, fat positive lens, and am passionate about helping people of all shapes and sizes, including those who don't fall into the stereotypical eating disorder "look" who may have felt dismissed because of the size of their bodies. I'm here to help you uncover what truly makes you you - and to work towards embracing the "messy" parts of being a human together one step at a time - because even if you don't believe it today, you deserve peace. Doing this work often involves looking at the other pieces of your life that may not feel like they are currently falling into place the way you want them to. You may also be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any number of other life stressors that feel like they throw a wrench in your plans. I'm here to help you put the pieces in place one at a time so that you can get to a place where it feels safe to breathe again.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I wholeheartedly believe that nothing is more healing than human connection. I have many tools in my toolbox to support you in challenging thought patterns that are no longer serving you, shifting behaviors in a way that feels sustainable (you don't have to do it all in one day, I promise), and helping you work towards the goals that matter most to you. This means that I'm not here to impose my own agenda onto you. You have full ownership over your recovery process and we will go at your own pace. Whatever brings you into our shared space and whatever thoughts and beliefs you are struggling with, I'm here to support you in moving closer to the life you want, on your terms. I am not here to judge you or reinforce any shame that you may hold about what you are going through. I'm just another human here to walk alongside you as we uncover your personal needs, values, and what makes you feel the most at home inside yourself.
